With this cycle route, you no longer have to choose between cycling along the coast, through polders or along inland waterways. We have combined all these options into one cycle route for you!

Start at the fishing village and famous seaside resort of Katwijk. Here you will find a TOP, where you can easily park your car if you arrive by car. Cycle between Noordwijk and Voorhout, through the polders, towards Sassenheim. Here you can admire the Teylingen Ruins.

You will soon arrive at the beautiful Kagerplassen, the oldest water sports area in the Netherlands with picturesque views. From the fresh waters and polders, cycle to the Boterhuispolder and the Broek- and Simontjespolder. Discover the various windmills that keep these polders dry.

Via Stadspark De Leidse Hout, you turn towards Wassenaar, after which you enter the beautiful South Holland dunes. Take a look at the impressive Atlantic Wall and cycle back to where you started the route: the heart of Katwijk.

So much natural beauty in one route in the Randstad, who would have thought it!
