National Hiding Museum - Aalten
The National Hiding Museum depicts the daily life of civilians during the occupation years 1940-1945. In the municipality of Aalten, many people were housed in hiding at the time. In the museum you will experience in an interactive way how the lives of these people changed completely.
The museum also has an 'Escape Room for Freedom'. When you enter this escape room, you have paid at the door with your freedom... In the escape room, you get to see the issues and dilemmas that everyone will face when they have to flee.
The museum has a Euroregional cooperation and a broad educational offer. Changing exhibitions are linked to various museum themes.
