The Noord-Veluws Museum is an art museum with many different works of art, mainly by artists from the North Veluwe region. The development of the Noordwest Veluwe began in 1880. The nature and simple lifestyle of the inhabitants was interesting for city dwellers. Also around Nunspeet and Elspeet an artist group emerged in the late 19th century. Ultimately more than 100 artists lived and worked in this region between 1880 and 1950, including Arthur Briët, Jan van Vuuren, Ben Viegers and Jos Lussenburg. If you look again at the districts of Nunspeet, you will see that there is a district where the street names are named after these painters.
The museum tells not only the information about the paintings, but also the stories of the painters and the inhabitants of this part of the Veluwe.
