Rock 'n Roll cycling route with Elvis Presley
Boxtel, Haaren, Hezelaar
A cycling route with an ode to the King of Rock 'n Roll, Elvis Presley. Café 't Hart van Boxtel, located at the end of the cycle route, is decorated with plates and photos of Elvis Presley. The DJ also regularly plays music from 'The King'.
We start and end the route from Boxtel, at De Oude Ketting. Park the car and have one of Presley's favorite drinks before the start: a Coke. We prefer to play the songs of the Rock 'n Roll music genre as loud as possible. Be careful not to damage your hearing. Learn about this at the Museum for Deaf Education. Or retreat to the Kampina Nature Reserve. In the time of Presley we were less concerned with loudness and we mainly looked up to the life he had. When he was in his home country Australia he lived in his own 'The King's Castle'. That is why we have added two castles to this cycle route: Castle Maurick and Castle Nemerlaer. Play Jailhouse Rock, sing along and feel like the King of Rock 'n Roll for a few minutes!
