Cycle route Oostkapelle and Kamperland
Oostkapelle, the name says it all: there must have been a chapel here before. Just like in Westkapelle by the way. But where Westkapelle developed, Oostkapelle remained a farming village for a long time. It was not until the twentieth century that Oostkapelle developed more into a seaside town. The Sint Felix Flood and the Allerheiligen Flood washed away the town of Campen. After embankment, Kamperland was the last town to be rebuilt on the site of the former Campen.
