Cycle route No mopeds but castles to look at

Bronkhorst, Vorden, Wichmond
A tour full of beautiful things from the Achterhoek in surroundings with a rich history. Vorden and its surroundings are full of surprises, and lovers of castles will be in their element here. You'll pass Castle Vorden, the oldest castle in the Netherlands that is still inhabited. Visit Huis den Bramel or the most beautiful church in Gelderland: St Willibrordus church.
You will cycle past many different villages that have literally grown together over the years. Just look how quickly you can get from Wichmond to Vierakker!
This cycle route also passes through Bronkhorst, the smallest town in the Netherlands. Although it is called a town, it is not very big. The church that stands in the middle of the town is surrounded by historic houses and town farms.
In the Achterhoek, they have an expression for coming along to "brommers kiek'n" (literally translated 'looking at mopeds', dialect for 'kissing'), but with so many castles, you can also go together for some "castles kiek'n"!
