Spakenburg, Amersfoort

Start your route through Spakenburg in Amersfoort. Park your car at the Emiclaer shopping centre and hop on at junction 9. In the centre of Amersfoort, a number of beautiful art and culture museums are waiting for you. How about the Mondriaanhuis or Museum Flehite?

From 'Keistad' Amersfoort you cycle into the nature reserves Arkemheen-Eemland, towards Spakenburg. These open polders are a National Landscape and form a unique habitat for countless meadow birds. As you pedal along at ease, you see the cows grazing peacefully and enjoy the endless views over the meadows.

Immerse yourself in the historic fishing town of Bunschoten-Spakenburg and its fascinating history. You can visit various museums here, such as Museum Spakenburg and the Costume and Fishing Museum. Put your bike aside and stroll through the monumental harbour, a museum in itself!

When you leave Bunschoten-Spakenburg, you’ll ride again through beautiful polder areas and wind back along the Eem towards Amersfoort.
