Wheat Mill De Regt - Nieuw-Lekkerland
In the thirties of the last century, this Wheat Mill was painted white, formerly the color was black. As far as we know, De Regt was built around 1850. Since the mill was decommissioned in 1950, there have been various initiatives to restore the mill. After 18 years of consultation, the sails and the hood were removed in 1968 due to the poor condition in which they were in. Unfortunately, no proper maintenance was carried out and the mill seemed to be ready for demolition after a while. That is why the De Regt Restoration Mill Foundation was founded in 1998 with the aim of saving the mill. Seven years ago the restoration of windmill De Regt was started. First the hull was partly rebuilt and in 2014 the new cap and wings were added.
