The Reggedal Enter project started in 2019 to redesign a part of the Upper Regge and Middle Regge. A part of this are also the fish ladders, which you will encounter throughout the Upper and Middle Regge. One of them is this one in Nijverdal.

The weir was built here to ensure that the water keeps moving. The fish ladder helps fish to pass weirs and reach their spawning and breeding areas.
