From the watchtower you have a view over several moors. To the south, you can see the Vragenderveen, to the northwest the Meddosche Veen, and to the north and east the Korenburgerveen. Together, the moors form a magnificent expanse of nature that invites you to take a walk. A plank path has been laid through the marshy moorland. But beware... In the wet seasons it can still be very muddy, so sturdy, waterproof shoes are strongly recommended then!
The observation tower is also used by birdwatchers to spot birds. Species you can see from here include the tree pipit, stonechat and various birds of prey. With a bit of luck even the shrike, red-backed shrike and golden oriole.
