San Damiano City Monastery - 's-Hertogenbosch
San Damiano City Monastery is a special and unique monastery in the Netherlands, where different branches of the Franciscan family live together under one roof. Franciscans, Capuchins, Poor Clares and members of the Third Order live here side by side, each according to their own rule, but united by the same spirituality of Francis and Clare of Assisi.
The Franciscan Movement, an organisation that promotes the ideas of Francis and Clare in an accessible way in society, also has its home here. This makes San Damiano not only a place to live, but also a lively centre of Franciscan life and inspiration.
