Rope maker Steenbergen - Gorssel

Rope maker Steenbergen is a family business that has existed since 1900. It was started by the great grandfather of Albert Steenbergen junior, the current owner. He took over the company from a rope maker in Genemuiden named Gebr Vos. After several moves, the company is now based in Gorssel, where Albert’s father Gerrit Steenbergen helped grow the business. Today, Albert continues the tradition with ambition and craftsmanship.

Natural materials like hemp and flax are used to create hand twisted ropes. The company also produces machine twisted ropes for all sorts of uses. All products can be finished according to customer wishes, for example with rings, thimbles or other accessories placed directly into the rope for strength or a custom look.
