Mill Number II - Heusden
Mill Number II was built from scratch in 1972, only the cast-iron upper shaft from 1865 is second-hand. It comes from a dismantled standerd mill in Varsseveld. It has a rather unusual appearance for a Brabant type standerd mill, which were normally equipped in a rather frugal manner. This may be because the Achterhoek millwright applied his own regional building principles, but it is also possible that he was inspired by the design of standard mills from the time of the fortresses.
