Heusden was badly hit in the Second World War, but from the 1970s to 1990s it was restored to its former glory using a town map by Joan Blaeu from 1649. On the original site of an earlier mill, this mill was also rebuilt in 1971 in the Stadshaven. Since 2000, the mill has been turning regularly to grind grain again.
