On 22 March 1945, Nijverdal fell victim to a mistaken bombing, in which 74 residents lost their lives. Since 2010, the Memory Freedom Museum has stood on this site. In this museum, you will not only learn about the history of the Second World War but also about the consequences of war on society and what restrictions on freedom do to a person.
