The imposing Fort Everdingen was built in the 19th century as part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, which is now one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The nature reserve surrounding the fort is 12 hectares in size. You will find a number of buildings of military-historical significance. Every Sunday afternoon, a comprehensive tour is given by local guides. You can book the tour via the website.

Since 2015, it has been home to beer brewery Duits & Lauret.
