Ruinen is a historic village on the edge of Europe's largest wet heathland area: the Dwingelderveld. The cosy village together with breathtaking forests, fens and sand drifts make it a beautiful and varied cycling area.
Start your day of cycling at Fietstransferium Ruinen. Here, the staff will gladly help you find the perfect cycle route for you and you can use the facilities specially designed for cyclists. These include a free air pump, a charging point for electric bikes, a repair station and even spare tyres for road bikes and ATBs.
Fietstransferium Ruinen is part of Buitencentrum De Poort, near bicycle junction 53.
