The Reest valley is one of the most beautifully preserved brook valleys in the Netherlands. At Bezoekerscentrum De Wheem, you can discover everything about the Reest valley and taste the authentic Reest valley cake. Exhibitions are held there on a regular basis and there is a shop selling all kinds of regional produce.

There is also plenty for children to do at the visitor centre! Walk the Bas de Das path or go on an expedition with the exciting Speelnatuurpad. And you can also play in the Badger's Fort.

De Wheem is an official Tourist Transfer Point (TOP). You have all the facilities you need to start your cycle trip from this point.
