Café-Restaurant de Bazel - Amsterdam

N 52.364709 / E 4.8922163

Café-Restaurant de Bazel is a still largely hidden gem in the city centre, located in the also not yet overrun by the masses building de Bazel. A beautiful and interesting building designed by Karel de Bazel and now home to, among others, the Amsterdam City Archives, where constantly changing exhibitions (mostly free) can be visited.

The restaurant is open from breakfast to dinner and is well worth a visit for its many delicious dishes, as well as for the beautiful entourage and fine atmosphere right in the centre of the city. The menu offers classics but also many tasty dishes from the Dutch tradition. After all, past and present come together in this building and the Amsterdam brasserie style menu fits in perfectly.
