Boxtel Station has been an important railway junction in Brabant since 1865. It lies on the connections between Breda, Eindhoven and Utrecht. From 1873 to 1950 the station was the starting point of the Duits Lijntje, an international railway connection to Germany. In 2000 the station was renovated and expanded to four tracks. Today it forms a central stop-off point for the Duits Lijntje cycle route.
