Bird-watching hut Jan Durkspolder - Oudega

N 53.119102 / E 5.956737

The Jan Durkspolder consists for a large part of shallow open water. The grasslands at the edge of the polder, as well as the reeds and reed beds, offer plenty of breeding opportunities for birds. Therefore, you will come across unusual birds here such as waders and plovers. Sometimes, you even see very rare ones such as the white-winged tern or the grey phalarope. Birds of prey such as the harrier, peregrine falcon and osprey enjoy hunting here.
