Abe Minderts Lenstra (1920–1985) is considered one of the greatest Dutch footballers of all time. During his career, he scored 763 goals in 760 matches. He made his debut at SC Heerenveen. So it’s no surprise that in 1994 the club moved to this brand-new modern stadium named in his honour.
Inside the stadium, you'll find the Feanstore, the official club shop for all SC Heerenveen merchandise. Under the east stand is the Fryslân Fean Plaza, where fans often gather after the match for the so-called third half.
Attached to the stadium is Sportstad Heerenveen, a multifunctional sports complex offering facilities for both elite athletes and recreational users. It also functions as an education and training centre.
