The Sint Radboudkerk dates from the 12th century. The tower was rebuilt in 1954 after the collapse on Saturday 25 August 1951. Geert Mak described this disaster in his book: "How God disappeared from Jorwerd". More than 50 years later the tower has been restored again. The church is open regularly between April and October, among other things for the runners of the Jabikspad that ends in the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
