Fort Nieuwersluis - Nieuwersluis
Fort Nieuwersluis is an exceptional green World Heritage Site between Loenen and Breukelen. It is part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie; a unique historical system of defence lines and works that runs from Flevoland to Noord-Brabant. In and around the Fort, work, culture, recreation and nature go hand in hand. There are five beautiful offices on the fortress and in addition, various rooms can be rented for events, meetings, workshops and private dinners or high-tea. Every Sunday you can visit the Fort Nieuwersluis Tea Garden for coffee, tea, juices and other delicious homemade dishes.
The photo of Fort Nieuwersluis was taken for Natuurmonumenten by Rene Koster.
