Grab your bike and taste, experience and discover the Pearl on the Vliet. In the middle of the nineteenth century, Voorschoten changed from a rural village to a modern village with a special factory, the Zilverfabriek (Silver factory). The various pit stops along the way will teach you more about Voorschoten's silver past.
Discover the beautiful parks, have a drink on a terrace on the Voorstraat and walk through the castle gardens of Duivenvoorde Castle.
The information boards in Voorschoten give you more information about the historical locations in the village centre and on the cycle route.
Would you like to extend your route? From junction 77, you can follow junctions 9, 16, 70 and 11 to reach the city of Leiden. You can then follow the route to the city centre via a beautiful road along the canal. Junction 11 lies on the Singel in Leiden.
