The Drentsche Aa landscape was created many thousands of years ago by a collaboration of nature and man. An ancient landscape. You will find many special plants and animals here.

As you cycle through the best-preserved stream and esd village landscape in Western Europe, the dolmens cannot be missed on this route. Follow the natural course of the streams as they have done for many thousands of years and 'feel' the history of the villages, ash fields and meadows.

Special is 't Nije Hemelriek; the lake's water is clear blue and the beach is tropical white.
