Museum route Haaglanden

Rijswijk, Delft, 't Woudt
Those who mainly know the Haaglanden region for traffic lights and business parks will be amazed on this route. Between The Hague, Delft and the Westland, you’ll find museums, parks and villages that go together surprisingly well. In just a few hours, you’ll cycle past old cityscapes, a former palace, allotments, country lanes and a Cold War command post.
Along the way, you’ll stop at places you might normally ride straight past. A museum in a mansion full of paper and textile art. An old growers’ village that seems barely changed since the last century. A forest where peace was once signed between world powers. Sometimes in the middle of the city, sometimes on the edge of fields or greenhouses.
The variety is not just in what you see, but in how it feels: from busy to calm, from history to now. No need to study a route book. Just hop on your bike, get your legs moving and let yourself be surprised by what shows up along the way.
