Cycling Route “Safari around Tilburg”

Tilburg, Baarschot, Esbeek, Hilvarenbeek
Tilburg was once known for its booming textile industry, but today it’s a lively creative city. The eye-catching Spoorzone is now a thriving hub for innovation in former industrial heritage buildings.
This route leads you out of the city, past Safaripark Beekse Bergen where you might spot a leopard or giraffe up close.
Less wild, but equally beautiful, is Estate Annanina’s Rust – a peaceful green retreat where only birds break the silence. In Esbeek, stop at the Andreas Schotel Museum, then continue to Hilvarenbeek to enjoy genuine Brabant hospitality and culinary delights.
Between junctions 51 and 08, you’ll overlook Rovertsche Heide with rare plants like marsh clubmoss and white water crowfoot.
After crossing a short stretch of the Belgian border, you’ll enter the 18th-century Oude Warande park near Tilburg, home to Siberian ground squirrels and around 55 bird species.
