Cycling route around Oosterwolde
Oosterwolde, Noordwolde, Jubbega, Appelscha
A big trip through a special part of Friesland. Oosterwolde is the result of the combination of a couple of greenhouses. In the village you can see sights such as the Dorpskerk and a belfry, a scaffolding with bells hanging in it. Probably because communities were too small or because there was too much poverty in the communities to build a complete church. During the cycling route you go straight through Oosterwolde and you pass several villages such as Oldeberkoop, Jubbega, Nijeberkoop, Fochteloo and Appelscha. In Noordwolde you can get off at Bakkerij Kok on the village square for a traditional lunch or coffee and cake. As a starting point for this beautiful trip we can recommend RCN holiday park De Roggeberg.
