Cromvoirt, Oisterwijk, Vught

Hop on your bike and discover one of the most beautiful natural areas of Brabant. This route takes you from Cromvoirt along the northern edge of Het Groene Woud towards the enchanting landscape of the Oisterwijk forests and fens. This area is known as the “Pearl in the Green” for a reason. Winding forest paths, tranquil fens and scenic views over the water create a sense of peace and wonder at every turn.

Along the way, you continue towards Vught, where you arrive at De IJzeren Man. This spacious recreational lake has a remarkable history. What once originated from sand extraction has grown into a popular place to relax by the water. The possibilities here are endless. Go for a swim, enjoy water sports, take a beach walk or simply relax on the sand while overlooking the clear water.

Of course, this route is beautiful in every season. In autumn, you can enjoy the rich colours of the forest, in winter the landscape takes on a mysterious glow from the low-hanging mist, and in spring you’ll see nature slowly come back to life. But in our opinion, this route truly shines on a summer’s day. First, you experience the unique peace and quiet of the forest and water-rich nature in Oisterwijk. Then you end the day at the atmospheric beach, with a refreshing dip. It almost feels like a holiday!
