Deurne, Helenaveen, Bakel, Milheeze
The Beestenveld is a beautiful nature reserve near Deurne. The name refers to grazing cows, but the area used to consist mainly of Scots pines. That is, until the Beestenveld came into the possession of the State Forestry Service at the end of the 1990s. The Forestry Commission has ensured that a much more varied nature area has been created. And a varied nature often results in a varied fauna as well. Especially special birds have found their way to the Beestenveld, so who knows, you might even spot a special one!
