The Loonse and Drunense Dunes stretch across 270 hectares of sand plains, a unique landscape you won’t easily find elsewhere in the Netherlands. Hop on your bike and explore this one-of-a-kind national park.
Along the route, you’ll pass De Kerkhovense Molen, a windmill built in 1895. It’s the perfect place to admire a bit of local history and relax among the trees. You'll also cycle by Natuurpoort Klein Oisterwijk, which is near an educational centre where you can learn more about the local nature and enjoy a peaceful walk through the forest.
Another stop is Natuurpoort Nemelaer, with a lovely view over the dunes. Take in the calm surroundings, listen to the birds and the wind in the trees, and breathe in the fresh air. From there, it’s a short ride to Castle Nemelaer, an impressive 14th-century castle where you can enjoy stunning views or snap a few great photos.
