During this cycle route you will cross the river Lek and enjoy a beautiful view over the water. Cross the river back again and discover the Zouweboezem: an important nature area with special birds such as the spotted crake, the snort and the marsh harrier. Due to the abundance of water in the extensive ditches and reed beds, many birds find a food-rich area here. The purple herons come here mainly because of the presence of the large mud creeper.
