Circular cycle route Keukenhof Castle and Lisser Art Museum
Lisse, Warmond, Oegstgeest, Kaag
Keukenhof Castle with the nearby located and newly opened Lisser Art Museum (LAM) forms the highlight of this cycle route. Start and finish is the car park at Keukenhof Castle. The castle gardens can be visited for a small fee. Enjoy coffee and homemade cake or a drink at the farmhouse, opened on Saturdays and Sundays. The very special Keukenhof flower garden, Holland’s biggest natural attraction, is also located on the estate. There are some 7 million Dutch crocuses, daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, lilies and other bulbous plants on show. The cycle route also brings you past freely accessible castles and estates such as ’t Huys Dever’ and Oud-Poelgeest Castle (also a hotel and restaurant) and through the ‘Kagerplassen’, a national park owned by ‘Staatsbosbeheer’.
Renting a bike is easy. Just check the route description for location and opening times of the bike rental places near the cycle route.
