This cycle route takes you through nature reserves you might not have known existed. Did you know, for example, that a quarter of the municipality of Vlaardingen consists of the Broekpolder? A wonderful green area where you can relax and unwind. You'll also cycle past the not-yet-completed nature area Polder Schieveen, where nature and relaxation will soon go hand in hand.

Discover the colony of grey herons in the marsh forest of Vlietlanden, an area that is unusually non-reclaimed by Dutch standards, where you’ll find truly traditional Dutch nature. The Ackerdijkse Plassen are a real bird paradise. Bluethroat, lapwing, goshawk, cormorant, shoveler, wigeon, redshank, green sandpiper, great egret: they all feel at home here. No wonder this area can only be accessed with a guide from Natuurmonumenten.
