On the north side of Groningen lies the campus of the University of Groningen and the Hanzehogeschool Groningen. The campus area is a feast for lovers of modern architecture: various architects have created a combination of high-quality buildings here.
The campus is named after Frits Zernike (1888-1966) who received the Nobel Prize for Physics. An exceptionally photogenic area, so stop off during your bike ride to take some special pictures.
