Workum's lighthouse is a short one: just nine metres high. The lighthouse dates from 1778. A residential house was attached to the tower in 1837. Unfortunately, the lighthouse, owned by the Foundation for the Preservation of Monuments in the Municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, cannot be visited.
