One of the most remarkable monuments in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer is the White Pump House on the Hoofdweg between Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep. This small monument of only two by two meters is the smallest of its kind and is part of pumping station Hoofdweg Oost, which used to pump water to the Ringvaart canal.

Note that this little house is next to the road near a funeral home, here you can reach the house from the parking lot of the crematorium. The little white pump house may not be immediately noticeable, so keep your eyes open!
