Viewpoint at Reeënberg - Beekbergen
The nature area Reeënberg is surprisingly hilly. The Reeënberg itself is already 40 metres high and the Schalterberg, which lies slightly to the south east of the viewpoint, is even 77 metres. It is therefore also called ‘Little Switzerland’.
Many special plants and animals live in the varied forest. Small animals such as white faced darters, but also large mammals such as red deer and wild boar feel at home here.
From this well hidden platform you have a beautiful view over a small piece of heath in the middle of the forest. Take a moment to relax on one of the benches while you take in the beauty of nature. You might even spot a wild animal.
