Viewing tower Afferdense duinen - Afferden

This 12.5 metre high viewing tower is located on the highest parabolic dune of the entire area. The tower is the highest point that literally rises above the whole Maasduinen.

In the past, there was a fire watch tower at this spot, intended to fight forest fires from here. Later, Harrie and Max Beijk built the current tower at the same location.
