At TX Brewery & Distillery in Oosterend, everything revolves around making: small-scale, precise and with great attention to craftsmanship. In the distillery, gin, vodka and liqueurs are distilled in copper kettles, while the brewery produces various beers in stainless steel tanks. Both processes show how simple ingredients (grain, water, herbs) can become a full-flavoured product through knowledge and patience.

Next to the workspace, there’s a shop and a tasting room, the Taproom, where you can sample the beers and spirits on the spot. Want to learn more? Join a guided tour through the brewery. You'll get insights into the brewing process: from milling the malt and boiling with hops to the role of yeast and maturation in tanks or barrels. TX connects Texel’s centuries-old beer tradition, dating back to the Middle Ages, with the modern practice of craft brewing and distilling.

Tours take place on Thursdays and Saturdays and can be booked via the TX website.
