The highest point of the Lochemer Berg is 50 meters above sea level and 35 meters higher than the surroundings. During the last Ice Age there was a huge glacier tongue in the IJsseldal. The weight and strength of this ice mass led to the creation of hills. This is how Lochemer Berg came into existence.
