Theatre De Kattendans - Bergeijk
At Theatre De Kattendans you get to know theatre, dance and music. The performances range from professional artists to amateur theatre. In the cosy hall with 300 seats, every performance is a surprise and you enjoy a lovely night out.
The name of the theatre comes from the legend of the Dancing Cats in Bergeijk. It is said that in the past there was a lot of ‘witchcraft’ in the forests of Bergeijk. The witches danced here hand in hand around the burial mound in the forest. In order not to be recognised as witches, they turned themselves into black cats. In other words, dancing cats. In front of the theatre there is a statue that shows this scene.
