The mill was built in 1878 on a natural height. In 1899 a petroleum engine was purchased, which could drive a couple of grinding stones from a built-in engine room. In 1922, an engine room was installed outside the mill with a crude oil engine driving the grinding stones from below. Gradually, mechanical grinding took over from the wind. With the exception of the wartime period 1940 - 1945, the windmill came to a standstill. In 2008, the baker's house near the mill was rebuilt and the original bread oven had to disappear from it. In 2010, the oven was placed in a converted barn and is now part of a small Bakkersmuseum.
