The lock of Roelofarendsveen - Roelofarendsveen

N 52.1932627 / E 4.628373

In the year 1632, the Veender and Lijkerpolder was framed due to flooding of the Braassem. Four wooden locks were constructed for water regulation and access. This is the only lock left. It dates from 1897 and replaced the first, then still wooden, lock.
