The gardens of Weldam Castle have been thought about for a long time. At first, contact was made with the German landscape architect Eduard Petzold, but his design was probably not satisfactory, because his design was never executed. Subsequently, the French garden architect Edouard André was commissioned, and his pupil Hugo Poortman carried it out. The gardens can be visited, but not the castle. There are also several walks set out across the estate.
