The exact year of construction of this standerd mill, belonging to the estate of Kasteel Batenburg, is not known. Due to a fire in the archives of the seigniory of Batenburg in 1795, this information was lost. It is likely that the mill was built in the 18th century.
A unique feature of the mill is that it is one of the few standerd mills with a thatched roof. The mill is still in use as a corn mill. You can go there on Wednesdays to buy flour.
