St. Willebrord is a church village in the municipality of Rucphen, in the west of North Brabant. The biggest attraction is the Sint-Willibrordus Church, built in 1925. The first stone was laid that year. The church was consecrated in 1926, a moment often regarded as the official birth of the church. The church has a Lourdes grotto and a procession park, which together create a special religious atmosphere.
St. Willebrord also has an unexpected link with the art world. Cornelis Schuitemaker, one of Vincent van Gogh's favourite models, lived here. His name lives on at the entrance to the procession park, where there is an audio column commemorating him.
