St. Jans Church Zutphen - Zutphen
The exact date of the construction of the church is unknown but probably took place around the year 1250. Count Otto the Second founded the church and dedicated it to the Virgin Mary, who was joined a few centuries later by Saint Nicholas as patron saint. After the French invasion, the church was assigned to the Protestants, who actually did not use the church. He was finally assigned to the Catholics again in 1809. But the church was seriously in decline then. The last restoration made the church what it is today, extremely suitable for celebrations and holding classical concerts.
