This church was built in neo-classical style: the supposed purity of the classics was pursued. One can think of the (building) art of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Unfortunately, the chapel was severely damaged in 1800. The current church was built on the remains in 1844. This National Monument is definitely worth a visit.
